Ummm...what in the world does Ellen Degeneres know about music? I do like her, but really don't think she's qualified to judge on this type of program. I guess it's all about the ratings...

Would not be my pick for a judge, but that's my opinion. I did not enjoy her guest appearance on the show, again my opinion. I would prefer someone with a music background making the critiques.

I think its great. She knows tons about music, she is hilarious, and she won't come to work each day drugged and fall asleep during performances! I haven't ever watched Idol but I might give it a try now!

She will bring some lightheartedness to the show. It had gotten to where it was so heavy. Now I don't see her opinion mattering too much. If any of you saw her on So You Think You Can Dance her criticing isn't that great. I can't wait to see her and Simon get into it. She might be able to take him down.LOL
